Amateur radio not only connects people around the world but also serves another purpose: It can act as an effective coordination tool in the event of a disaster.
Exhibitors and visitors of HAM RADIO come to Friedrichshafen from more than 50 countries. In three exhibition halls and the Foyer West, they can explore the entire spectrum of the radio universe. A unique feature of Europe’s largest amateur radio exhibition is the mix of commercial exhibitors, globally networked associations, and Europe’s largest radio flea market.
In addition, there is a wide range supporting program featuring exciting lectures and a variety of side events, organized in collaboration with our supporting partner, the German Amateur Radio Club (DARC) e.V.. Highlights include live radio contacts, e.g., with the ISS space station, balloon launches carrying all kinds of technology on board, hands-on workshops, collaborative experiments, various exams, and the HAMCamp, which brings together tech-savvy young people and aims to inspire them about amateur radio.
HAM RADIO Exhibitors & Associations
For three days, 150 commercial exhibitors and associations will showcase every aspect of amateur radio in the Zeppelin CAT Hall A1. The sense of community at HAM RADIO is truly unique. No matter where in the world they come from, visitors focus on friendly and constructive exchanges about their shared hobby.
In addition to networking and shopping, the focus is on hands-on experience and collaborative learning: In various workshops and training sessions—organized by our supporting partner, the German Amateur Radio Club (DARC) e.V. - interested visitors can deepen their knowledge and directly test new developments in amateur radio.
