Voices of the Ham Radio 2022 exhibitors:

Christian Entsfellner and Stephanie Heine of the German Amateur Radio Club:

“After the long break, the fair completely exceeded our expectations. We hit the bull’s eye with our slogan of “Seeing Friends Again.” Through our high-quality presentation program, we were once again able to demonstrate how much expertise and specialized knowledge volunteer radio amateurs have. The Ham Radio creates a unique space for meeting others in person, making it indispensable for us as a driver of the future of amateur radio. We saw the partnership between the Lake Constance Emergency Radio Association, Airbus, and DARC as particularly successful. We laid the foundation for the regional emergency radio groups together at the fair, and we’re launching a nationwide concept for emergency communications in the near future.”

Hans Hilberling, Hilberling GmbH:

“Ham Radio is the most important trade event and point of contact for us; we spotted not only many familiar faces but also many new ones at our stand. We’ve been coming here for 15 years, and the fair was an event we simply had to attend again this year. We are glad that the fair took place again after going on hiatus for two years, allowing us to celebrate this reunion with friends together here.”

Frank Strauch, ICOM GmbH Communication Equipment:

“The edition of the Ham Radio that came before the pandemic had a larger number of exhibiting companies, and I think there were more visitors. But for a new start after a two-year break, we are very satisfied with the way the trade show went, and things are trending in the right direction. Having face-to-face contact with our customers was important to us.”

Thomas Schmenger, Owner of OptiBeam Antenna Technology:

“The number of visitors this year was lower than the last time the event was held before the coronavirus pandemic, with this a circumstance certainly explained by the absence of a few major exhibitors. I can’t understand why they didn’t come. The Ham Radio is an essential component for me to maintain my hobby. It’s about personal contact and doing something for the industry. I need to hear from my existing customers  whether they’re satisfied with our products, and there’s no better place to do that than at the fair.”

Christian Jansen, CJ-Elektronik GmbH:

“The atmosphere at the Ham Radio was good, and we were pleasantly surprised. In the run-up to the fair, we heard that a few of the larger exhibitors had canceled, which made us curious to see how this would affect the number of visitors. We made very good sales, but it was also important for us to be here for non-material reasons quite apart from the financial aspect. The visitors were happy that the fair was able to take place again – what more could you ask for?”

Ranco Boca, CEO of Sky Sat:

“Our expectations for this year’s fair were exceeded. We were able to maintain personal contact with old customers as well as attract new prospects. For us, the Ham Radio is the most important trade fair in Europe. We’ll definitely be back in 2023.”

Franco Milan, Elad S.R L.:

“The feedback from the customers has been positive. They expressed great interest in our high-quality product range, and the order books are full. We see the Ham Radio as a key venue for interacting with the amateur radio community, staying in touch, and presenting our product line to an international audience.”

Viviana Mazzoni, Ciro Mazzoni Radiocomunicazioni snc:

“In the run-up, we were eager to see how the trade show would go, and now our expectations have been pleasantly surpassed. We saw how everyone was glad to get together again, the interest in new equipment, and the radio amateurs’ inclination to make purchases is great. This Ham Radio was fantastic for us.”

Richard Joachims, Managing Director of Joachims HF & EDV Beratungs GmbH:

“The interest in our product range was overwhelming. We’re very satisfied with how the Ham Radio went. Thanks to the many visitors who were eager to make purchases, a lot of our products were quickly sold out. The fair totally exceeded our expectations. We’re already looking forward to attending the next fair in 2023!”

Frank Dathe, Radio Technology Dathe:

“The number of visitors to our stand this year was slightly higher than at the previous fair. With its supporting program and the many opportunities to meet other people, the Ham Radio has an overall package on offer that is incomparable. It was the right decision to come here, and we will be back again next year!”
